Back to School Night and First Day of School (1) 
Hello Irwin Academy Families, We will have our Back to School Night on Monday, 08/13/2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  There will be the first Parent Volunteer Training of the year at 6:30 p.m.  Please come and join us and walk the campus, meet the teachers, and get ready for the first day of school. The first day of school will be Tuesday, 08/14/2018.  It will be a Regular Day schedule from 9:10 a.m. to 3:29 p.m.  Breakfast will be served starting at 8:30 a.m.   We look forward to seeing you all after your summer break.

Number Talks in Room 27 
Mrs. Simon's 2nd graders are using Number Talks to discuss how to solve a particular mental math problem. The focus is not on the correct answer, but on all the possible methods of finding the answer. Each student has a chance to explain their method, and everyone will get a chance to see different strategies to understand that there are multiple ways to do the same math problem.

Student's in Mrs. Hanson's SDC Kinder enjoy learning all about the Fall season.  Students develop fine motor skills by creating a Turkey from materials of their choosing.
